how to do project 1: Graphing Functions

For Graphing Functions, please do the following:

PART 1

1. You will create 5 separate graphs.
2. For each of the 5 parent functions sketch and write the function in the following colors:

• Parent Function - black
• Vertical Translation - red
• Horizontal Translation - blue
• Vertical and Horizontal Translation - purple
• Vertical Reflection - green
• Horizontal Reflection - orange
• Vertical and Horizontal Translation + Vertical Reflection - brown
• Vertical and Horizontal Translation + Horizontal Reflection - grey

PART 2

1. Slideshow: Make a slide show of each of the graphs
2. Embed the slideshow in your post
3. Choose one of the five functions you graphed on the Graphing Functions Project.
   1. Describe what you did using mathematical vocabulary. The following words must be used correctly, and highlighted or boldfaced in your description.
